It is common knowledge that San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest name in the convention business with countless reasons to attend and enjoy yourself. However, this year there is another huge bonus, with attendees having the opportunity to play Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis ahead of release.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is the result of the years of lore and history that the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII has built up. Coming out in monthly episodes, it will retell the history of the Planet, drawing from the whole catalogue including the smaller games like Before Crisis and Dirge of Cerberus, and the Advent Children movie.

Comic-Con goers will have the opportunity to play through the tutorial of Ever Crisis, and commemorate their time with a photo against one of two backgrounds; chilling with Cloud and Zack, or exploring the city of Midgar. You can even pose with a life-sized standee of Cloud and a recreation of the iconic Buster Sword, and I will be surprised if no one runs off with that.

If anyone does knick that Buster Sword, no doubt it will show up in the cosplay gathering that Square Enix will be hosting at their booth, number 3829, that one with all the Clouds and Sephiroths growling at each other. On July 22nd at 16:00 PT, you can gather with like-minded friends and cosplayers to partake in booth activities together, a nice play to meet a few new buddies.

Finally, Square Enix will be hosting a raffle each day of the show for some lucky attendees to win prizes. All you need to do is show the staff that you have pre-registered Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, or that you have installed a game from their dwindling portfolio, never forget the victims of the Square Enix mobile purge.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available to pre-register now from the App Store and Google Play, with a release date of somewhere in 2023. Good luck getting that in your calendar.
