There was a time when tower defences dominated the flash game industry, with a lot of time being spent on the computer popping offensive balloons with dart-throwing simians, but they were always just a little slow. Now, however, RisingWings has shaken up the genre with the release of Defence Derby.

A real-time strategy defence, Defence Derby is a Tower Defence almost in name, throwing gamers into a 4-player PvP Derby Mode battle where quick-fire tactics, mind games, and quick fingers are the way to win. Each of you will be facing off wave after wave of nefarious nasties throwing to destroy your castle, with the last one standing being the winner.

The biggest feature of Defence Derby is the scouting stage, a bidding mechanic that happens at the end of most waves. Here, every player will be bidding on a unit to be the one to recruit them into their armies. Each round will be a battle of wits for who should you overspend on to complete your team, whether can you survive the next round who you already have, and how can you sabotage the other players this turn.

If you are looking for some solo time, then Blitz Mode is for you, where you can send your pre-designed teams against increasingly hard rounds of enemies to see how far you can go. For a bigger challenge, the Valley of Trails will require your team to be the same race as the day's dungeons, so you will need to specialise your teams.

The Themed Mode is another PvP way to play, with additional mechanics added such as Ban Pick Mode, where you can prevent opponents using specific units. For those who just want a chill game with friends, hop into Friendly Derby, a locked room where you can safely destroy your friendships in peace.

Download Defence Derby now from the App Store, Google Play and the Galaxy Store to take advantage of the Welcome Package, containing a Rare Hero, a Rare Unit, 20,000 Gold, and a Special Castle Skin.
