In what has already been a jampacked Esports year for PUBG Mobile, it is almost time to cap off the calendar with what can only be described as the big one. The 2023 PUBG Mobile Global Championships is preparing to open its gates for the best of the best to battle it out for a share of the 3 million dollar prize pool.

Kicking off on November 2nd and lasting until November 26th, 48 teams will fight it out in the PMGC League, with a boggling 6 matches a day whittling down contestants until before the Grand Finals. Fast forward to December 8th, and then a 3-day event will see the 14 qualifying teams, along with 2 special invites, take to the grand stage in Istanbul to see who will be crowned the PUBG Mobile champions.

What makes this year so exciting is that there are no clear favourites. Throughout this year it looked like Vampire Esports would be untouchable, earning their second consecutive World Invitational win this year, along with taking victory in the Pro League in Thailand.

Disaster struck in the Regional Clash between South East Asia and South Asia, however, as they came crashing in at 14th place. With other strong contenders such as Alpha7 Esports and Stalwart Esports waiting in the wings, there is nothing predetermined about this tournament, no team can rest on their laurels.

When unveiling this next instalment, PUBG Mobile Direct of Global Esports, James Yang, said: “The PUBG MOBILE Global Championship is an opportunity for the best of the best to get the recognition they deserve on the grandest stage of them all.“

“This has been a fantastic year for PUBG MOBILE Esports, with record-breaking performances, new strategies, and unprecedented support from the fans. There’s no doubt teams will give it their all for this final major tournament of 2023.”

PUBG Mobile can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
