The night of a thousand pumpkins is almost upon us, and Netmarble has snuck in a Halloween event for its MMORPG Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. There are new collectable missions, a few mini-games, and the opportunity to turn yourself into a cat.

This new update, dubbed Night of Sparkling Candies, probably the last thing you want to be shiny, is designed to put all the world's NPCs into a sugar coma. Countless players will harvest Pumpkin Candy, cook it, and then shove it down NPCs throats in order to extract delicious treats such as Power Ups, Currency, Pass EXP and more. You can also complete a few special missions to get items including a Bat Mask Costume and Starfall Magic Tome Selection Chests.

For something a little more skilful, the new Hide-n-seek minigame will pit two teams against each other in that age-old game. Except everyone will be turned into a cat. The Shadowtails will find a hiding spot before being sought by the Lighttails, with the last feline standing being the victor. A classic game. You can earn yourself rewards such as Jelly Bottles, Evolution Fruit Baskets and more.

Remember to set your alarm for every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during the episode period, as you will be able to tackle the dreaded Shadow Pinata Event. Collect Light Pumpkins from across Evermore, and then throw them at the shadows in order to fell the Shadow Effigy. Pumpkin bomb this dastardly foe enough and you will win yourselves loot such as Miraculous Warding Doll Chests and Pinata’s Enchancement Stone Selection Bundles.

Our final edition in this content-stuffed Halloween season is the Catch Cluu Event. By completing missions such as Donate to the Kingdom you will get yourselves Event Tickets to play the eponymous game. Randomly generated Cluus will assault your senses for you to tap and earn a variety of materials to power up your familiars. You could also nab a Rare 6-star Toy Chest from the deal.
