Uncharted Waters Origin may be infested with bloodthirsty pirates and killer Krakens, but that's not enough to put off Santa this year. The holiday events have landed in all their splendour, along with new characters, and a brand new way to lead thanks to the Prime Minister system.

The newest S-Grade Admiral, Hong Gildong, does not seek fame or fortune, but rather a utopia for the sake of his people. To help with this, his Admiral’s Orders and skills are all centred around Adventure. As always, unlocking his Memoirs allows players to complete his Chronicle without using any energy, and completing these will reward Superior Mate EXP Potions, Superior Mate Tickets, and five tickets for the new S-Grade mate, Jeon Woochi.

In contrast to Gildong, Jeon Woochi is much more at home during battles, with a skill that increases Melee Defense, so keep him up close and personal. After the fight, make use of his Liquor Trade Specialization to celebrate. Along with Woochi, there are four other mates from the Joseon era making their debut; S-Grade Hwang Jin, A-Grade, Kim Jo-i, and two B-Grades in Park Ta-nae and Yi Jongmu.

If you wish to lead not just a ship and its crew, but instead a whole nation, then the new Prime Minister system is for you. Players can vote to install someone who will then impose a Pledge for 14 days on all members of that land. For those who prefer to do battle on the seas and not the campaign trail, the Repel system can be used against low Combat Power NPCs to shoo them away, so you can find a real challenge.

There are a host of holiday happenings taking place until January 16th, starting with Otto's Patrol, a limited-request event stuffed full of goodies. You will also notice yourself amassing special currency as you play, which can be traded through the Holiday Event Prize Exchange. Finally, simply log in for 14 days, and let the Holiday Special 14 Days Attendance event flood you with gifts.
