Telltale Games Announce Law & Order: LA For iOS

By , on April 19, 2011

Probably most famous for their Tales of Monkey Island series, Telltale Games have branched out of late into the twin worlds of television and movies.

A CSI tie-in here, and a Back to the Future adaption there: Telltale Games are certainly embracing the idea of promotional vehicles.

One more to add to their film and TV canon is Law & Order: Los Angeles for iPhone and iPad, an upcoming crime thriller based on the NBC series of exactly the same name.

We say ‘upcoming’ because outside of a ‘Coming 2011’ notice on Telltale’s registration page for Law & Order: Los Angeles, nobody else can shed any light on a release date.

Members of the cast - including Doc Ock himself Alfred Molina - will voice their characters from the show, so expect plenty of authentic objecting, overruling, and obfuscating.

Telltale's CEO Dan Connors gave his studio’s reasoning for adapting the Law & Order: Los Angeles IP:

Law & Order: LA fits very well with the style of episodic entertainment experiences Telltale has been building since our very first days.

The talents and skills that we've been building at Telltale are ideally suited for the structure and storytelling approach of televised procedurals like Law & Order.

We’ll have to wait until later in the year to deliver the - ahem - verdict.
