BeyondDead Brings Metroid-Style Adventure Gameplay To the App Store

By , on February 23, 2012

Monster Robot Studios clearly have a fondness for the days of the 16-bit adventure game.

You know: when SNES players saved the galaxy as Samus Aran in Nintendo's classic Metroid series.

And with the App Store release of BeyondDead, they're bringing that same breed of 2D action to the iPhone.

After an infection strikes a terraforming project, you're sent to investigate. Not everything at the base is as it seems, though. (When is it ever, eh?)

The 99c BeyondDead app features Chapter 1 of the adventure, with further chapters promised in future updates.

Even in this introduction, mind, you can expect plenty of action, exploration, and even the odd boss battle or two.

BeyondDead is available to download now for 99c. Metroid fans would be well advised to fish their wallets out of their Varia Suits and give this one a try.
