If you're the sort of Android owning gamer who goes misty eyed for the long forgotten days of the Amiga 500, then it's shaping up to be a pretty good week for you with the release of Team 17's xenomorph blasting classic Alien Breed onto the Google Play Store.

The game borrows heavily from a slightly more famous series of films with the word Alien in their title, and casts you as a lone space marine trapped on a crashing space ship with nothing but a horde of slavering monsters to keep you company.

Rather than coming out of the walls, these extra terrestrial slaughter machines tend to come out of the floors, and you'll need your wits about you if you plan on surviving through the 22 levels that the game has to offer.

You can play through using updated visuals, or switch out to the original graphics for a classic bit of retro gaming. Alien Breed is out now and you can grab it from the Google Play Store for $4.99 by clicking here.
