If you haven't played Supergiant Games's breathtakingly good looking RPG Bastion yet then you're running out of excuses because for a limited time it's available on the App Store for the ridiculously cheap price of 99c.

In our 5/5 review we described the game as “a wonderful adaption of an outstanding action title and one that feels at home on the App Store thanks to its control modifications”, heaping praise on its stunning visuals and clever controls.

There's hours of game to sink your teeth into here, with ten upgradeable weapons to master, and more than forty gorgeous hand drawn environments for you to explore. So if you're after a challenging adventure that'll keep you playing for an age and cost you less than a cup of coffee, buy Bastion now.

You can thank us later.

My problem is not the file size its the fact that I bought it thinking it was compatible with my iPod touch 3rd Gen when its only compatible with 5th Gen

I've noticed that there are a lot of games and apps that have an incomplete or incorrect device-compatible list, as well as a (sometimes very) incorrect gauge at space needed for said apps and games. Several times I've gotten a game that was supposedly 600mb, and it turned out to take up 900-ish. Same thing even for Bastion, it says on the description that it takes up a few hundred MB, but it actually takes up 1.1GB of space.

The 'gauge' is really download space and says how fast and how much data it takes to download, for RR3 initially was 600Mb download, 1.8Gb unpacked

It still doesn't make a lot of sense; why not just give a more accurate number? It'd take away quite a bit of frustration and give more careful planning when selecting what apps to keep or sacrifice from your device to put on more.

They list the download size on iTunes, not the install size. Sadly it's because the install size will depend on the device being used, so they can't really provide an accurate number (only approximate, especially when taking in to consideration any save files or in-game updates/downloads).

That said, you'd think they'd come up with *some* sort of solution (ie. drop down box with initial install size)

I've been waiting for Bastion to go on sale for months! Thus far, the game is filing to disappoint.
