AppSpy nominated for a Games Media Award, offices now covered in bunting, confetti, cake

In a break from our regularly scheduled programming of awesome new trailers, hands-on impressions with unreleased mobile games, reviews of the hottest new titles, and generally faffing about on Twitch, today I've got some great news about AppSpy that I'd like to share with you.

We've been nominated for an award!

Huzzah!

To be precise, it's a Games Media Award, which are kind of like the Oscars for journalists and other people who make editorial content about video games.

AppSpy is nominated for Best Video outlet, and we're all super thrilled. James has taken his shirt off already, Danny's downing his Ultraman booze to celebrate, and I've reached out to Grazia to see if they want an interview with us ahead of the awards being announced.

The competition is stiff: we're in the same category as BitSocket, Other Places, VideoGamer TV, GTA V O’clock and more. But hey, it's nice just to be nominated.

Our pals over on Pocket Gamer haven't been left out either, with Harry Slater receiving a nom for Best Games Critic, Mark Brown is up for Best Features Writer, and Kirk McKeand of PocketGamer.biz in the running for Rising Star.
