Soosiz is an iPhone platformer where players take control of a small little creature who, must embark on a long and arduous journey to find his friends and stop an evil darkness from taking over the world. Players travel through a number of different levels defying gravity and walking around on different floating platforms and islands, guiding any lost friends found along the way.

Players control the main character by using the on-screen buttons to move and jump. You’ll need to navigate each level to find the exit but if you want to earn gold medals, you’ll need to rescue your friends who are scattered about. You’ll also collect stars in each level and once you earn 100, you can activate star power; a limited invincibility mode.

Visually the game is very fluid and features some smooth camera movement when levels change perspective; Super Mario Galaxy style. The sound is well done to but players are free to listen to their iPod if they like. The game features one main game mode with a number of different levels and themed worlds.

Soosiz is an enjoyable puzzle game that constantly ups the ante in regards to the platformer gameplay. The varied levels and worlds are a lot of fun to play through and the multi-dimensional gravity mechanics keep things fresh. If you’re a fan of Super Mario Galaxy style gameplay then Soosiz will offer some similar gravity defying thrills on a smaller scale.
