Real Racing is a fast paced and competitive track racing game for the iPhone that puts players behind the wheel of a cavalcade of impressive cars. You’ll race around a number of different tracks in the hopes of earning the championship gold and securing a place in history. Players can choose from a selection of different game modes and race against other drivers to see who’s the fastest.

The game’s default controls include automatic acceleration, tapping the screen to brake and tilting your iPhone to steer. The controls are easy to use but can be a bit sensitive at times. Fortunately there are a number of different control schemes available to suit a player’s preference.

The game’s 3D visuals look great but players are limited to either a first person ‘driver’s seat’ point of view or third person, which may not be everyone’s favourite camera angles. The sound is well done and allows players to access and use their iPod during gameplay. As well as the career mode, time trial and quick race modes, players race head to head via a Wi-fi connection or can connect to the online races after signing up to verse players from around the globe.

Real Racing is an enjoyable substitution for speeding around a real race track. There are plenty of cars, tracks and modes to keep gameplay fresh and you entertained. What better way to experience the high speed thrills of the racetrack than in the drivers seat?
