Peggle has made its way to the iPhone. Acquiring fame on the PC and Xbox 360, this addictive pachinko based action puzzler has now been fitted with touch controls. As the player, you need to clear orange pegs out from amongst a field of blue pegs with a pinball cannon. Rack up enough points with one ball, or manage to fall in the bucket at the end at you gain an extra ball to clear the level.

The game has been reworked with a giant wheel on the side of the screen used to aim the pinball cannon. Using your finger, adjusting your shot is very easy and precise. To shoot the cannon, simply press 'fire'. Adding to the game is a set of character specific powerups, which range from guided shots, to multiball, to changing the bucket into a pyramid.

The game is very bright and colourful. The characters have a friendly, cartoony quality and the sound effects match this. The only music is at the end of a level. When you clear the final orange peg, fireworks erupt as Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' busts out in fanfare. Along with adventure mode, there is a quickplay option, challenge mode and even duel where you can compete with a friend for the highest score.

There's definitely something about Peggle. It's fun, addictive, got lots of content and completing a level just makes you feel good. If you enjoy video games, you should give Peggle a go. What you get is worth the higher price point.
