Sometimes big things really do come in small packages. It's a terrible cliche, but Rally Master Pro 3D by Fishlabs proves that you can make a game that looks good, plays good and most importantly of all is great fun. It does this without being so large an app that it takes half of your spare time to load, so you'll be in the thick of it before you know it.

Rally Master takes a fairly standard approach to racers on the iPhone by utilizing an automatic accelerator and tilt-based steering. The only touch input required is to jam on the breaks for those touchy corners. Like many rally games, this is all about being able to carefully time and slide your way through corners so it's nice to know that the steering is amazingly sharp and by reducing the need to touch the screen you can focus on what's happening instead.

Admittedly, most of the detail here has gone in to the cars and the damage that can occur to them as they weather the regular knocks of a full rally. The interface is clean and even though the 3D world may be a bit washed out thanks to low resolution textures, it does an admirable job at sustaining a high frame rate while playing.

Rally Master doesn't bring anything special to racing games on the iPhone, it just does it very well. A lot of polish has gone in to this app and it shows. From the rally racing to the mini-games between stages it's great fun and a worthy racer for anyone's iPhone.
