SkyDodge is a top down flight game where players must fly for as long as they can while avoiding rocks and other obstacles. Players earn points by flying further and collecting coins. The game gets harder and obstacles fly faster based on how far you’ve flown and your total highscore.

You control the plane by tilting the iPhone back and forth to steer around the screen. The plane's speed never increases, so your main task is to dodge incoming rocks and birds. You will also need to keep an eye out for other objects such as kites that will reverse your controls for a short time and stars that will give your plane a temporary shield.

The visuals and sound are both top notch and make the game enjoyable. And while players are unable to use their iPod during the game, it’s not a huge drawback. The game features one main single player mode only and highscores can be submitted to the global leaderboard via OpenFeint.

SkyDodge is a solid title with some nice features. The gameplay is a lot more relaxed than some other flight games available but the increasing difficulty will give players a challenge. The one major flaw with the game is the lack of a continue option. This can ruin a player's game if they take a call and reopen the application to discover their last game has been reset. But besides that the game is enjoyable and if flying games are your type of genre then SkyDodge may be worth a look at.
