Flick Kick Field Goal by PikPok is just in time for Superbowl-fever and with its quick to play style and addictive gameplay it might just be what you need to fill the hours before the big kick-off. Even if you're not a football fan Flick Kick is perfect for fans of endless games like Paper Toss.

Lets not beat around the bush, the title says it all. Once you've picked from one of the four available modes of Sudden Death, Arcade, Time Attack or Practice, it's a simple matter of lining up your shot with a quick flick of the finger over your football. The response and accuracy of the kicks are varied depending on where you've kicked the ball and makes for a much more authentic experience. A light touch is required as heavier flicks and touches don't register accurately, or in some cases not at all.

There's four different variations of gameplay and despite the simple mechanic driving the game they don't feel like half-baked minor variations and could easily stand as separate games on their own. Flick Kick is a 3D game that doesn't use too many special effects and keeps the interface clean and easy to read with the distance and wind-speed quickly identifiable in the center of the screen. There's no in game music, so the iPod support is appreciated though it does clash with the game's menu music.

In the lead up to Superbowl and even in the post-season Flick Kick Field Goal is a great arcade physics sim for casual game fans with enough modes to keep you continually occupied.
