NCIS: The Game from the TV Show Review

VERDICT
It might take a die-hard fan of NCIS to truly enjoy this title, but as it is The Game from the TV Show just doesn't have the same snappy feel as the TV show and not enough gameplay to hold your interest.

I probably haven't laughed this hard at a game in a while and worst of all I really shouldn't be, this is NCIS: The Game from the TV Show by GameHouse after all. Good gravy even the title is bursting with comedic value.
In this adventure title you'll take part in five different 'mysteries', although in typical TV show style one of the adventures is a two-parter so it's really only four missions overall. The game itself follows the show's format quite well, introducing the basic mystery and bouncing between session of evidence collecting, evidence processing and interrogations until the final twists are revealed. Sadly evidence collection involves random clicking to find hidden objects unless hints are enabled and interrogations are even worse, with players being given several options to advance the dialogue, but no reason to select any particular option, making this another session of random advancement.
Things get even better on the visuals front as the game's various locations are actually quite amazingly well rendered, but the game falls short of the mark on the actual characters involved in the missions. Each of the NCIS members have been processed from marketing shots and look like fashion models striking a pose; and lets not get started with the animated mouths, try Googling 'Clutch Cargo' and you'll see what I mean.
Fans of the TV series may feel like they can get something out of this game, but from the corny lines to the poorly gathered evidence, NCIS: The Game from the TV Show is a game that's hard to recommend at all.
