Slideshot 2 by mschomerus is a puzzle title that is simple in theory, but incredibly challenging in practice. Then again, maybe that's what's so appealing about this dastardly puzzler.

Each level presents players with a handful of tubes that can be slid around the screen either only up and down or left and right. The aim is to create a sequence of tubes that will allow a ball to travel in and out of the screen while passing through every one. This results in one of two problems for the player, either resulting in stumping players by making the required final sequence hard to work out or by making the pieces hard to slide in to the correct position. It's like a strange mix of Pipe Dreams and those puzzle games where you have to slide an object out of the screen.

Visually there's not a lot to write home about with Slideshot 2, but the designs are clear and the default scheme has a neat hypnotic animation in the background. Each of the game's 60 puzzles are blocked in to various difficulty levels and instead of unlocking levels one at a time players must complete an entire difficulty level in any order they choose to progress to the next sequence of challenges.

Slideshot 2 offers little more than a neat puzzler without many frills and for puzzle fans after a new brain-teaser this title will certainly get the job done.
