Where games like Super KO Boxing went for a classic Punch-Out! style for their arcade boxing gameplay, Beast Boxing 3D by Goodhustle Studios tries to up the ante by sticking with touch controls and a 3D design that's clever and gorgeous to watch in action.

Jumping in to Beast Boxing couldn't be more intuitive and players have access to three basic punch types thanks to tapping and swiping the screen. Quick jabs only require a tap, but hooks and uppercuts are triggered by swiping across and up the screen respectively. Holding down your fingers on either side of the screen allows you to block and tilting will move you out of the way of your opponent's reach. When all of these basic moves are combined with careful timing to outplay your opponent's telegraphed super-moves you'll have them sprawled on the ground in no time flat.

The artistic design in Beast Boxing is also something to behold, with each area being rendered in detail for the backgrounds, but more importantly the detail in the opponents is simply stunning. The sheer variety of enemies you'll face is amazing in itself, but each one is animated so smoothly and with such precise detail as to make it possible to read regular punches just from their body language.

Add a wonderfully simple, yet amusing storyline in to the mix and a grab bag of ego-charged monsters and you'll be set to take on the world of Beasthalla one round at a time. Beast Boxing 3D is a phenomenally fun title to own and a definite grab for fans of classics like Punch-Out!.
