App Wrap Up (Midweek Edition, 8th August 2012)

By , on August 8, 2012

Yesterday i said we had another app wrap up for you and here we go! Remember as always, we can't speak on the quality of these games, just that they look like they might have something interesting to offer.

SoundReaktor (Innovative Labs)

A rhythm game dealing with loops, samples and sound effects. Kind of giving you overview over a mixing board, hit the button or buttons at the appropriate time to buld the song and keep it going. Bonus buttons look to add to your overall score. This video is one of many on their channel showcasing a playthrough of particular songs, and there's even freestyle options to just play around.

Roxy Dark and the Spydrs (RPGM)

Arachnophobes probably want to keep clear of this one. Roxy Dark and her band are plagued by spiders. Stop as many from getting to them as possible as the rock music blasts. The gameplay looks bland, but the visuals and music might make this something a little more special.

Super Penguins (Supersolid Ltd.)

Um... well it seems to be Temple Run with penguins. You can gain rocket boost and fly. Now we all know penguins can't fly... but i guess these are super penguins.

Super Fatty (Aidan Wolf)

You eat food and dodge traps. The more you eat, the bigger you get. Simple and it looks fun.

Acheron Prime (InsurgentX Entertainment Ltd)

This is a tough one to get a bead on. A space shooter RPG with exploration, upgrades, and a what looks to be a storyline with quite a bit of effort put into it. The hefty price point is understandable if the game delivers, but at least from the trailer, i'm not quite sure. I guess this is where reviews come in handy huh.

And once again we come to the end of the App Wrap Up. Seeing how the submissions keep coming in, we might have another one before the week is through. So many games, so little time. I wouldn't have it any other way! Till next time!
