Honor of Kings teams up with one of China's most popular properties

Level Infinite has announced a collaboration between Honor of Kings and B. Duck, bringing the adorable mascot into the vicious MOBA. It is an odd move given that you are either going to feel bad for beating up a cute bird, or you are going to get ganked by a flock so often you will never buy B. Duck merch again.

For those who haven’t heard of B. Duck, allow me to save you the Googling I had to do. It is a cutesy yellow Duck that was made in China and then went on to become a huge hit. It’s won a ton of awards, such as Asian Property of the Year and Licensed Promotion of the Year. Someone saw Hello Kitty and a rubber duck, smashed the ideas together, and made a mint.

Anyway, now you get to smack that duck! Again, weird, but let’s roll with it. The biggest addition is a whole new game mode to sink your beak into; Transformation Battle. Here, everyone will turn into one of four ducks, which makes the whole collaboration worth it cause that sounds hilarious.

Each duck has a special ability, such as the Inflatable Hammer Fighter, who can smash their opponent back to the fountain. Tornado Fighter can summon a magical tornado, and the Impact Fighter has the power of knockbacks. Finally, the Speedster Fighter can attack you so fast that seeing a duck in the wild will have you screaming for your life.

Outside the mallard melee, you can pick up some B. Duck accessories. Liu Shans’ skin can be purchased from the store, with his Stellar Legend Skin entering the namesake draw from May 22nd. The Rice and Egg Milady Stellar Epic Skin will also enter at the same time. Finally, the B. Duck Background can be found in the limited-time lucky draw.

Honor of Kings is available to download from the App Store and Google Play, with the B. Duck collab lasting from May 15th to June 23rd.
