Honor of Kings India opens pre-registrations with free rewards
According to the official website, Level Infinite will publish the game and is targeting a release of March 11th.
Unlike most other mobile games, the pre-registrations for Honor of Kings India are not available on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Instead, players will have to head to its website and register their email by clicking on “Log In” and then selecting their Country/Region.
To celebrate the game’s launch, the Vulpine Gratitude skin and Daji hero will be awarded to those who pre-register. Moreover, multiple milestone rewards have also been announced:
- 200k pre-registrations – x1 Everything Box
- 500k pre-registrations – x200 Dragon Crystal
- 1 million pre-registrations – x5,000 Starstone
- 1.5 million pre-registrations – x3-day Golden Flash
- 2 million pre-registrations – x1 Legendary Everything Box
While everything else looks great, the thresholds set for the milestone rewards seem a bit ambitious given the lazy marketing and just over one week left until the official launch.
At the time of writing, HoK India has just crossed the first milestone of 200k registrations.
That said, some of the popular Indian content creators such as Tanmay "Sc0utOP" Singh, Naman "Mortal" Mathur, and Kaashvi "Kaashvi" Hiranandani will promote the game through free exclusive custom in-game items.
The three streamers themselves have a combined subscriber count of around 14 million on YouTube, with the Instagram following of over 11 million.
Apart from this, a daily login event will also be available once Honor of Kings India launches, during which players can grab rewards for 21 days.
Could Honor of Kings Be the Next Big Esports Title in India?
India has been one of the biggest markets when it comes to mobile esports; however, the scene has been dominated by Battlegrounds Mobile India (the Indian version of PUBG Mobile) and Free Fire for years. While there has been a lot of demand regarding a MOBA title within the community, let’s be honest, Riot Games dropped the ball with League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, on the other hand, was banned by the Indian government in 2020 because apparently any sort of progress the country makes has to be sabotaged somehow. As for Honor of Kings India, it’s unclear whether new servers will be added to the global version of the game or if it will be a standalone title just like BGMI.
However, if executed well, the MOBA has the potential to break records, especially considering it already set a Guiness World Record in 2025.
