The Esports World Cup Foundation has been spreading within the esports industry, introducing the Esports Nations Cup last year. This tournament is meant to be an Olympic-esque event that pits each country's top esports competitors against one another.

It's recently been revealed that the Esports Nations Cup will have a $20 million prize pool.

MLBB tournament will be held at Esports Nations Cup

The Esports Nations Cup will take place from November 2nd to the 29th, featuring a wide range of popular esports titles meant to showcase the world's gaming talents. The first game to be featured at the Esports Nations Cup? Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

This comes as part of the mobile MOBA's exciting 2026 roadmap, which includes a ton of global expansion. MLBB proved massively popular at the Esports World Cup in 2025, making up around one-third of the event's total viewership. After proving itself on the biggest international esports stage in the world, the EWCF wanted Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to bring the action to the Esports Nations Cup as well as part of its collaboration with MOONTON.

There will be 16 total titles, including MLBB. The other titles revealed so far include Trackmania and Dota 2. The $20 million prize pool will be split among these 15 tournaments. It'll be interesting to see what other mobile esports are announced leading up to the event.

On top of the $20 million prize pool, the Esports Nations Cup will give out $5 million to the competing esports organizations. The amount that organizations get is tied to their overall performance across multiple titles.

“National teams bring a powerful new layer to esports, one that is accessible, intuitive, and rooted in identity and pride,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation. “Our prize model is designed to keep competition fair and sustainable, rewarding performance while supporting the long-term development of players, Clubs, and national programmes.”
