Mobile Legends: Bang Bang named Mobile Esports Game of the Year
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was recently called Mobile Esports Game of the Year at the GamingonPhone Awards 2025.
It was a big night for MOONTON Games, the developer behind MLBB. Over in Bangkok, Thailand, the award show cemented MLBB's top at the spot of the esports world once more. The mobile game has already become the most-viewed esport in the first half of 2025 thanks to events like the Esports World Cup.
And the M7 World Championship hasn't even happened yet.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is GamingonPhone Awards' big winner
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang took all of the most epic rewards at GamingonPhone Awards 2025. This includes MOONTON Games being named Mobile Game Developer of the Year and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang getting Mobile Esports Game of the Year.Even cooler, Team Liquid Philippines (TLPH), a top team in the MLBB scene, won Mobile Esports Team of the Year. Then, Karl "KarlTzy" Gabriel Dacer Nepomuceno secured Mobile Esports Player of the Year, another MLBB pro of course.
In a press release, MOONTON Games' Head of Overseas PR Marcus Lim said: "Our wins are a recognition of the passion that everyone at MOONTON Games has for gaming and esports. Guided by our values of 'Player-First Experience' and 'Rise Above Limits,' we'll continue to innovate, inspire our players, and push the mobile gaming industry forward.
"We're eager for players and the community to experience what's next! From our upcoming campaigns, partnerships, to the highly anticipated M7 World Championship (M7). These moments motivate us to keep improving and delivering experiences that matter to players and the industry."
TLPH is hoping to be the first team to complete the Golden Road achievement, winning all major MLBB Esports t itles in one year. It's already won MPL Philippines Season 15 and Esports World Cup 2025. It now must win Season 16 and M7 to get the historic achievement. They'd be the only team to ever do so.
