Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's upcoming hero Marcel has insanely flashy kit
Marcel is a long-awaited support hero coming to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. We now know more about his time-bending kit ahead of his launch.
The Soul Photographer was born in the House Paxley estate. He inherited his father's dark magic, but also took on a ton of family drama. He was even called the "son of a traitor" after his father committed suicide due to family conflicts. His dark past and mother's decision to flee House Paxley awakened something within him.
Marcel saw a camera hanging on the wall that had been watching his struggle and torment. He detached, entering its lens to see the person he'd become. His pain had been sealed off by the camera's lens, but dark magic poured out, freezing everything around him. His powers had fully awakened.
For years, Marcel felt no sadness or anger, his emotions sealed in the camera, named Clemar. However, when he learned that his mother had died, Clemar tried to make him react. Clemar wanted to escape the camera and live within Marcel's body instead. When Marcel entered the camera upon its click, he saw himself and how the camera had been his way to escape his pain. Clemar was actually himself, the pained part of his soul, that he'd tried to hide.
At this point, Marcel and Clemar work as one, with Marcel embracing his troubled past.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's Marcel abilities
Despite his complex backstory, Marcel is pretty straightforward to learn as a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang hero.First, his passive, Platinum Snap, has Clearm take pics of nearby enemies, briefly immobilizing them. He then deals true damage based on a small percentage of their max HP scaled with Hero Level. Marcel gains a shield equal to that damage dealt.
Framed Moment has Clemar take a delayed shot in an area around Marcel, dealing high physical damage to enemies within range that's scaled with Marcel's total physical attack, physical defense, and magic defense. This briefly immobilizes them.
His other skill, Tracking Shot, has Marcel enter Tracking Haste for a short duration, a state that gives him increased movement speed. As you move closer to enemies, the bonus becomes stronger.
When used again, Marcel dashes in the direction of his target, leaving a phantom behind. If Framed Moment is active, Clemar remains where Marcel originally was.
Marcel's ultimate, Golden Hour, takes a wide-angle shot of a chosen area for a short duration. During that time, Marcel enters Tracking Haste while all other units enter Frozen Moment, unable to move and immune to damage except from Marcel.
The ability to stop everything in this radius - all heroes, summons, creeps, projectiles, and basic attacks - is game-changing. It will be interesting to see if the MLBB community welcomes this impressive hero or demands a nerf.
