M7 World Championship announces Visa as official payment partner
While the general esports scene may be unaware, us in the mobile esports scene know that the M7 World Championship is a big deal. It may be the largest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event in history — maybe even the largest mobile esports event, maybe even the largest esports event period.
An indicator of the impact of M7? It has just announced Visa as an official payment partner, a mainstream company that clearly wants to get in front of the massive audience that MLBB has cultivated.
The collab will inclue a 20% discount on M7 World Championship tickets for Visa cardholders. Cardholders can also enter for a chance to win a Mythic VIP ticket, which includes premium seating and backstage tours.
“Having Visa on board for the M7 World Championship is a huge milestone for the industry," said Global Head of Partnership at MOONTON Games, Adrian Cher. "It shows how far MLBB and mobile esports have come — now attracting global, mainstream brands.
“Having them onboard provides the youth reliable payment solutions, empowering them to thrive in the digital economy while pursuing their passions.”
Visa's Chief Marketing Officer Danielle Jin added that the partnership aims to support esports' growth and also make it "easier for young fans and players to enjoy the game" and access exclusive experiences.
Visa joins realme, a Chinese smartphone brand, as big partners for the upcoming M7 World Championship.
