Monster Hunter Now introduces a new beast to hunt in the Jaws of Flame and Thunder event
I can’t understand the Fulgur Anjanath's design in Monster Hunter. It has a fairly pale and white colour palette, white hair, but somehow it's not an ice element. It is, in fact, weak to ice. All this to say, I am happy it is arriving in Monster Hunter Now, for it is confusing and must be hunted to extinction.
The Jaws of Flame and Thunder event, taking place August 18th to the 24th, shall introduce this particular brute.
The Fulgur Anjanath is a subspecies of the latest that generates electricity as it attacks, and uses it to bolster its moves. As such, it is weak to water, because Niantic never graduated from the Pokémon school of elemental matchups. We all know we should be throwing rocks at it instead, but there you go.

At the very least, hunting this little chap will yield materials that can be used to craft a whole new raft of Thunder-imbued weapons. You will also want to create the Fulgur Set of Armor. Using its Vital Thunder skill, this set increases your weapon’s thunder element value according to your remaining health.
What if you want to hunt enough of these fiends to craft everything possible? Well, you are in luck. There are three set daily times between the 22nd and 24th where only Fulgur Anjanath, Anjanath, and Riftborne Anjanath will appear on the field. These are 12:00 - 13:00, 17:00 - 18:00, and 21:00 - 22:00.
If that is not enough, that same triad of Anjanaths will be the only monsters appearing in Hunt-a-thons between the 22nd and 24th. There will also be a slate of limited-time quests that task you with taking down these titans. Do so, and you’ll pick up the Jaws of Flame and Thunder Medal, materials, and more.
