We are headed to summertime, and that can only mean three things: it's hot as hell, the flying little pests are out in full force, and Pokémon Go Fest 2025 will kick off. Those lucky enough to attend in person have fun, but if you aren’t, there is still a lot to celebrate.

One of the headlines to come this year is that Zacian and Zamazenta will receive a Crowned Sword and Crowned Shield form. To achieve this, you need to amass 1,000 of their respective Energy. You can go to one of the three Fest locations and partake in the Special Research there, or global trainers can gather this through ticketed Special Research or Raid Battles.

There is also a second requirement; they both need the Iron Head Charged attack. After this, imbue them with your hard-won energy, and you can flip between modes at will. Better yet, they each have a new Charged Attack in Crowned form. Zacian gets Behemoth Blade, and Zamazenta gets Behemoth Bash. One of them definitely sounds much cooler. One final bonus: they can both join Max Battles.

Now! Say that you want to get that Crowned Energy through Raids, they can be a bit tricky to schedule. But no longer! Thanks to the RSVP planner, available right now, you can see on the map when other Trainers are planning to hit a raid. Or, you can set up your own event. These can be set up as soon as the Egg appears on the Pokestop, and it is a great way to tell if one is worth sticking around for, as you can see how many people are planning to show up.

When you see an event, you can also invite five of your friends from anywhere are the world, and speaking of this big old globe, Pokemon Go Fest locations. This year, the fun will be taking place in three cities: Osaka, Japan, from May 29th to June 1st, Jersey City, USA, between June 6th and June 8th, and finally Paris, France, from June 13th to June 15th. You can pick up tickets from the event page.

Pokémon Go is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
