We are keeping the Pokémon Go train rolling today, but unlike yesterday's news, this one is fun for the whole globe. Mark your calendars and take your antihistamines, as Flabébé will be the featured Pokémon in the September Community Day, taking place September 14th between 14:00 and 17:00.

Flabébé is a rather cute, old Pokémon, but I personally like the design because it looks like a little being at the levers of a flower UFO. There are three country-locked colours of these flowery friends you can collect. The Middle East, Africa, and Europe will get Red, the Americas will have Yellow, and the Asia-Pacific region will get Blue.

If you are lucky, however, then no matter where you are, you might also encounter a White or Orange Flabébé. There is, of course, the chance of a Shiny, but Shiny Pokémon look terrible most of the time, so no thank you. Whatever colour you catch, if you evolve it between the event and September 21st, your new Floette will be packing the Chilling Water Charged Attack.

Sounds pretty weak, but in Trainer Battles, it does lower your opponent's Attack by one stage, so it isn’t bad to have in your arsenal. There is also the customary Timed Research encounter for a Flabébé with a Seasonal Background. The flower will also be your region's colour, and completing it will increase your rate of encountering a Shiny version.

Finally, the long list of Event Bonuses! You can benefit from ¼ Egg Hatch Distance, 2x Candy from catching Pokémon, and three hours for Lure Module and Incense to harvest Candy with. Trades cost 50% less Stardust, and you can make one extra Special Trade. You will also be in with a shout of getting a surprise if you take some snapshots.

Most exciting is the limited-time Evolution requirement. Set Floette as your buddy, preferably the one with the special new move, then earn seven hearts, and just like that, they will evolve into a Florges. So, download Pokémon Go from the App Store or Google Play, and prepare to become a botanist.
