Pokémon Go summons a swarm of tiny birds as it sets the August Community Day

I am very surprised that Pokémon Go is continuing with its regular Community Days, seeing as they nailed it earlier this month with Eevee, but here we go again. The August event is set for the 30th, and they are championing a pretty solid pick to be fair: Rookidee.

On its own, Rookidee isn’t the greatest, but its evolution, Corviknight, is very cool. It is a second-stage evolution, however, so you are going to need to bring a whole lot of Poké Balls with you to get that candy. Or, half of a whole lot, thanks to the 2x Candy for catching Pokémon bonus happening during the event.

We want all this candy to evolve our new Rookidee into Corvisquire by September 6th. If you do this, you can then go to the next stage and acquire a Corviknight that knows the Air Cutter Charged Attack. I would recommend the Rookidee you get from the August Community Day Timed Research, as it has the customary Delightful Days-themed background.

On top of the double candy, you will benefit from a ¼ Egg Hatch Distance from incubators, and Lure Modules that will last for three hours. The same goes for Incense as well; the map will be full of consumables and Rookidee. Don’t forget to snap a few pictures, too, for a chance at a surprise appearance. 

For those stocking up their trades, you can make a maximum of three Special Trades on the Community Day, and they will cost 50% less Stardust. Finally, you might consider upping the stakes with the Special Research. It'll cost $1.99, but you will get a lot more Rookidee encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, and three chances to secure a Rookidee with the Delightful Days background.
