iBomber was never a slouch in the visuals department, even back when it dropped its first payload 5 years ago, but iBomber 3 could well be a massive step forward for the series.

We've just received the very first (and crushingly short) teaser trailer for the newly announced title...

The eagle-eyed will spot that the logo now contains a metal texture, and the song playing in the background is classic metal track 'Ace of Spades' by Motörhead.

I've confirmed with the developer - Cobra Mobile - that this teaser is indeed a nod to Apple's new Metal on iOS 8, functionality that should make games look even more impressive on iPhone and iPad.

Could iBomber 3 have drastically improved visuals over its predecessor? We think it's very likely, and we'll find out for sure over the next few weeks as we continue our coverage.
