The Honor of Kings Season 4 (KIS4) Grand Finals will kick off the 2026 calendar on February 8th, and it's hoping to bridge the gap between esports and pop culture once more.

Following last year's record-breaking KPL Grand Finals, Honor of Kings has continued its localization efforts outside of China in an attempt to make the mobile MOBA a worldwide phenomenon.

Honor of Kings' Wukong Skin "Anoman"

Ahead of the competition, Honor of Kings presented the Wuking Skin "Anoman," inspired by Indonesia's Wayang Kulit, at the Indonesian National Museum. This was on display from January 29th through February 1st.

The exhibit not only featured striking visuals but cultural experiences and activities focused on the connection between traditional heritage and modern digital art. Vice Minister of Culture of Indonesia, Mr. Giring Ganesha, attended the opening night.

Honor of Kings KIS4 Opening Ceremony and Finals Show

The action will kick off with the Opening Ceremony on February 8th. This will be hosted not at an esports arena, but the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta, Indonesia. According to a press release about the event, this will highlight the event's focus on competition.

There will also be a live performance by Afgan, an artist from Indonesia. This half-time show will take place during the Finals, with Afgan singing three songs.

Opening Ceremony

The KIS4 Opening Ceremony is deeply inspired by Indonesian culture. After an opening statement on the international growth of Honor of Kings, there will be a massive cultural showcase with Wayang-inspired performances. This includes the Kecak Dance and a live performance of the KIS4 theme song by Mukarakat and Indahkus.

"In a symbolic moment, an Anoman Wukong cosplay will ceremonially bring the KIS4 trophy onto the stage, followed by the official team walk-ins that will signal the start of the KIS4 Finals," read the press release.

"Through this fusion of tradition and modern competition, the Opening Ceremony will showcase how Honor of Kings continues to celebrate local culture on a global esports stage."

Half-Time Show

During the KIS4 Grand Finals, Afgan will take to the stage for a half-time show. One of the most popular Indonesian artists, Honor of Kings hopes his performance will captivate fans from Indonesia and beyond. He will be performing "Panah Asmara," "Sampai Jumpa," and "Kacamata."

Ahead of the Grand Finals, fans can try to win exclusive Afgan merchandise as well as VIP tickets to the Finals. These giveaways will be happening until February 6th.
