NOVA Esports and HYVE All Star win Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4

Honor of Kings Invitational Season 4 has come to an end, culminating in an intense Grand Finals match where NOVA Esports emerged victorious. 

Taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, the KIS4 showcased incredible talent in the Honor of Kings scene as well as a cultural celebration and gaming news. 

NOVA Esports and HYVE All Star win KIS4

Malaysia's NOVA Esports clashed with Nongshim RedForce of South Korea in the Grand Finals. 

NOVA Esports gained an early lead and didn't let up the entire match. Nongshim RedForce showed impressive defensive strategies in an attempt to get NOVA Esports to back off, but to no avail. The control NOVA Esports had over each game ultimately led to a 4-0 victory. 

The Honor of Kings Women's Series 3 (KWS3) competition was taking place alongside the Invitational. HYVE All Star from the Philippines beat Malaysia's AG Global in the Grand Finals, showing the Philippines' continued domination in Honor of Kings. The 2-0 victory was just a reminder. 

Honor of Kings continues international expansion

Tencent recently invested $6,000,000 into Honor of King's esports scene in Indonesia. This is part of the mobile MOBA's continued effort to expand beyond China and become a cultural phenomenon throughout Southeast Asia and beyond. 

As part of Honor of Kings' expansion strategy, Tencent is focusing on localization and cultural celebrations. As part of the KIS4 Finals, the GBK Basketball Hall became a massive cultural and gaming showcase, including a Wayang-inspired performance during the Opening Ceremony, traditional dancing showcases, and a live performance by Mukarakat and INDAHKUS. 

The half-time performance continued the hype for the crowd, which were not only watching the tournament but taking part in immersive fan experiences and community activities. Indonesia's popular performer Afgan performed three songs, creating a mini-concert.
