It has happened so many times, particularly on mobile, that it should have lost its allure, but I still find it amusing whenever Sanrio teams up with a video game that includes combat. The latest is that TiMi Studio Group has announced that the global hit cuddly critters will enter Honor of Kings.

For those who have been harbouring a deep, dark desire to punch Hello Kitty square in that great big head of hers, then I have unfortunately got bad news for you. First, this crossover is Collaboration Skins, you can't rampage across the map as the characters themselves. Secondly, weirdly enough, Hello Kitty isn’t one of the options.

Instead, we get two other banner characters, Cinnamoroll and Kuromi, and if you've ever seen Kuromi before, it won’t surprise you at all that she wants to throw down. You can pick up the Yaria Cinnamaroll Skin and the Angela Kuromi Skin, along with the Cinnamoroll Background and Kuromi Background.

So, how do we get these? Why, gambling, of course, or gacha if you are feeling polite. The two Cinnamoroll items will be up for grabs from today, so make sure you jump on them. Kuromi will follow shortly after and become available starting June 6th. The whole event itself will last until June 23rd, so there's plenty of time.

In addition to these themed items, you can also build your own Palace. To do this, you must engage with the board game-like minigame. You can earn dice throws by completing daily missions to advance around the board, with specific squares allowing you to build and upgrade your Palace. The more you upgrade, the more points you get, which can be traded for themed rewards such as an Avatar Frame, two Stickers, and the IP Collaboration Friendship Tools.

Honor of Kings is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
