It has been a long, old event, but we have reached the finale of the Might and Mastery season. As a myriad of TV shows, movies, and the entire Kingdom Hearts franchise have taught us, friends are our true power, and that rings incredibly true for the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge.

For this event, you need a plethora of friends, and what better way to cement these relationships than trusty capitalism? Until Thursday 22nd, the global community will be in a race to send as many gifts to people as possible. And that is the whole challenge, simple right? To help out, you can open up to 50 Gifts per day.

At this point, we are in a bit of a vague territory, as the announcement doesn’t make itself incredibly clear, but let’s muddle through. After this challenge is over, all Trainers will be able to gift “free” Special Research tickets for the May 2025 Community Day Classic: Machop, taking place May 24th between 14:00 and 17:00 local time.

There is no solid gift quota mentioned for the Global Challenge stage, so we can assume this will happen regardless. You can also gift up to 20 tickets per day, but only to Great Friends or higher, and this is where things get a little confusing. There is no solid definition of the “free” tickets, and I doubt the Pokémon Company will be giving out thousands of tickets free if every player can gift 20 a day.

But then, it wouldn’t be much of an event if you just brought and gave away tickets. That's just gifting, that's not a “free Special Research ticket”. Even giving one away free with negate the whole profit margin for the event, cause everyone could just trade with a friend. I can’t see any developer giving away all its profit.

Whatever the case, we shall see shortly. If you want to get in on the gift extravaganza, download Pokémon GO from the App Store and Google Play.
