PUBG Mobile is no stranger to content with the infected, as past collaborations with the likes of Resident Evil 2 and the Metro Royale mode can attest. Next up on the list is the upcoming movie 28 Years Later, with the Rage Virus making its way to a new map featuring iconic locations from the film.

Until July 6th, you can hop into the horror-inspired world on the WoW map and visit areas you will recognise from the film. Creep through the Causeway, explore the optimistically named Holy Island, and delve into the Bone Temple. Or maybe not with that last one. At that point, you're just asking for trouble.

For an even more authentic experience, you can swap your armoury for the movies’ own suite of weaponry. Hunt down your foes with Crossbows and Sniper Rifles, get up close with Baseball Bats and Frank’s Machete, or rain down hell with Molotov Cocktails. It might draw attention, but it’ll look cool.

If you think you could do better, you will be well-placed to prove it, thanks to the assets added to the World of Wonder mode. You can build your own maps filled with traps and challenges to produce your own sequel to the 28 series. A map full of Bone Temples and only Baseball Bats, that will clearly go well.

Finally, there are a few themed mini-games you can take part in to earn exclusive rewards and show off your fandom. Completing these challenges will earn you goodies such as custom avatars, avatar frames, and themed sprays. Plus, the movie isn’t out until June 20th. It would be a bit of a laugh to know the locations since you have already explored them yourself. Try to locate all the easter eggs before it releases.

PUBG Mobile is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
