PUBG teams with Shelby American to bring automotive majesty to the battlefield

Krafton's PUBG Mobile is already a popular behemoth in its own right, but it seems determined to cast as wide a net as it can currently. Version 3.8 has brought an anime collaboration for those fans, steam trains for your cowfolk, and now, some legendary cars thanks to a crossover with Shelby American.

There is no shortage of iconic muscle cars floating around, with Dodge putting out the Challenger and Charger, Ford with the fantastic Mustangs, and who can forget Ash Williams’ Oldsmobile from Evil Dead? Shelby has its own claim, though, with the 427 Cobra hitting the battlefield until July 6th. 

With its amazing engine and striking looks, the Cobra is a masterpiece, or at least it is until it gets absolutely riddled with bullets speeding across the open landscape. If the bullets can keep up with it anyway. The Cobra isn’t the only car Shelby has donated, with the GT500 also up for grabs.

Colloquially known as the Shelby Mustang, this is what happens when someone gets hold of a Ford Mustang and goes “not loud enough!”. As a result, it keeps that definitely beautiful Mustang look, and will take you from point A to point B in no time flat. It roars into PUBG with a Black & Red finish, although you can grab the Retro Invader design if you think perfection isn’t enough. 

Apparently, these two marvels of motoring weren’t enough, so there is a slate of Shelby American products to collect. This starts with the branded parachute to make you count how long you need to work to buy one as you float to earth. You can pick up a spoiler and quad exhaust for the 427 Cobra, as well as rocket balloons for the GT500. There is also a flying saucer attachment, if you want to ruin a piece of art. Collect all the GT500 cars, and you can earn the GT500 collection milestone reward.
