CoD Mobile recently teamed up with Mobile Suit Gundam for some giant mecha fun, and now PUBG Mobile is taking its turn. Unfortunately, it is not the Strike Freedom this time, but arguably it is a bit more well-known. This is because the Transformers are heading to the battlefield.

Version 3.9 is letting you summon Optimus Prime and Megatron using the Cybertron Beacon, as well as Cybertron Crates full of supplies and Energon. Gather enough Energon, and you can upgrade them to unlock powerful skills, such as Megatron’s Triple Fusion Blast. Of course, they can also become vehicles.

If the two meet during a match, a special arena will appear for a spectacular showdown. It is a bit rigged, though, since you can revive Optimus Prime if he goes down. Outside of battles, you can pick between Team Optimus and Team Megatron, completing missions for exclusive rewards. Or, head to the Cosmic Meteorite to pick up some more special goodies, including a Cosmic Hoverboard to cut around on.

In slightly smaller robotic news, you will be able to spot the cyberpunk-themed Neon Outpost on Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok. Here lies a boxing ring for one-on-one bouts, a black market hosting a burger joint that is touting an interstellar burger, and an energy hub where you can ride robots. The biggest thing, however, is the Astro Den. Here you will fight using a set suite of close-combat battles, where losing doesn’t cost your respawn chance. What’s more, you can take on bots solo in the Outskirts for more prizes.

Metro Royale is also getting a shot in the arm, with Zombie Uprising getting new mechanics, such as a rare gold melee weapon if you defeat zombies or marked bosses. You can also enjoy a 3D Hub for a fun way to socialise, a time-limited Ranked Arena running from July 24th to September 2nd, and the Paint Gun will add a bit of colour to the chaos in World of Wonder.

Classic Mode is adding new motorcycle and bicycle mechanics to pre-match interactions, as well as the ASM Abakan 5.56mm rifle and some new attachments for sniper rifles. Finally, Home Mode has added a Mancala Game Table, so make sure you learn how to play that before downloading PUBG Mobile from the App Store or Google Play.
