PUBG Mobile Version 3.8 bring old-timey trains and terrifying titans

Whilst PUBG Mobile has always undoubtedly been quite fun to play, the latest update is arguably the best in its lifetime. That is because version 3.8 brings us not only the Steampunk Frontier complete with working trains, but also an epic sounding collaboration with Attack on Titan.

It's hard to know where to start, but let's go with the Steampunk Frontier mode. Available in the Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps, you will be able to experience the huge Aetherholm train station, cargo hubs, train platforms, and Utgard Castle. And of course, you can hop on a train for easy travel. 

You can board the Epoch Cargo Train as it unloads at Aetherholm, and poke around its two onboard Aethercore Containers, or travel aboard the lightning-fast Express Train. Each has its own route and rewards to uncover. You can also get buffs at Clockwork Attendants, supplies from the Clockwork Merchants, and enjoy rides at the Rollercoaster checkpoint.

Perhaps you want more action, in which case, head to Utgard Castle. Here, in faithful Attack on Titans fashion, you can see the titular behemoths destroying the landscape. You could also find Titan Serums and become one yourself, including the legendary Attack Titan. There is only one of these serums available per match, so act fast.

Of course, the Omni-Direction Mobility Gear makes an appearance, allowing you to tackle Titans by zipping through the air at breakneck speeds. For fans of the anime, head to northeast Erangel to watch an iconic scene recreation involving the Colossal Titan. Some exclusive collaboration outfits, weapons, and more will be dropping May 30th, too.

World of Wonder will be getting new treats such as trains, new skills, and strangely, the T. Rex animal vehicle. Metro Royale receives a portable military server that can be hacked for intel and gear restrictions. Classic Mode is getting a facelift, including a portable med pack and a high-durability vehicle. In our last mode-specific update, Home Mode unveils the New Style Debut Event, where players can unlock the Bronzework Bastion pack.

Fans of collaboration will enjoy the Team Popularity Battle Event, as well as the Synergy Party. These both encourage and reward teamwork, so no more bounding off alone. Cycle 8 Season 24 kicks off, bringing new legendary items and tier rewards, and those in Crown Tier and above can engage with the Hardcord Ultimate Royale. Finally, the Themed Mode Rating Protect Event will run until May 25th.
