With a new movie on the horizon, Transformers fever is about to strike again. To really make the most of this Hasbro has joined forces with Rovio to create Angry Birds Transformers. This partnership means that - like Angry Birds Star Wars - Angry Birds Transformers will be both a game and a toy line.  In keeping with this Hasbro has revealed its line of ‘Telepod’ toys, due for release later this year. These will take a similar path to Activision’s Skylanders series, letting you transport your toys into the game. Rovio's avian RPG Angry Birds Epic will fly onto iPhone and iPad this Thursday

Feather-filled RPG spin-off Angry Birds Epic was soft-launched in Canada and New Zealand back in March. Now, three months later, it is set to arrive on App Stores worldwide this Thursday. Angry Birds Epic takes Rovio’s iconic cast of irate avians and thrusts them into a tactical turn-based game reminiscent of a JRPG. Think Final Fowl-tasy, and you are on the right track. The birds have all been redesigned to suit the game’s medieval world, and act as a shorthand for their combat abilities.
