There are 'no current plans' to bring Dynasty Warriors Blast to the West
After yesterday's news that Dynasty Warriors Blast would be heading to Japanese iOS and Android devices this month, we got in touch with Koei Tecmo to confirm a Western release date. Dynasty Warriors fans may want to look away at this point. Or maybe just ensure nothing of value is on the table you're about to flip over. To quote a representative of the company: "there are no current plans to release Musou Blast to the Western territories". The news is a little disappointing for Musou / Dynasty Warriors fans, but we're not hugely surprised. One of Koei Tecmo's official sites has unveiled Dynasty Warriors Blast for iPhone, iPad, and Android, and it's coming out this July in Japan. The official announcement on Koei Tecmo's website refers to the game being based on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title Dynasty Warriors 7, and indeed the screens so far suggest an intense action game similar to the console outings. But it's likely there will also be some significant differences between the home and mobile platforms too, and there are even vague hints that you will see the various warlords - many of which have starred in the series since 1997 - in a completely new way throughout the campaign.
