DMZ: Recon gets a release date and it is tantalizingly close
If there is but one sacred rule in gaming, then it is this: if something is successful, then it shall be mimicked to death. Remember when PUBG launched, and everything became a battle royale? Or Escape from Tarkov making extraction shooters huge? Well, Call of Duty: Mobile is getting in on that fun and has released a trailer for its extraction attempt.
DMZ: Recon, as it is named, was announced recently, but now we have a trailer and a release date. You will be able to enjoy this new take on December 11th, and I do truly believe it will be enjoyable. I am rubbish at shooters, but I really enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone, so the team is good at these little clout chasers.
In order to play DMZ: Recon, you will need to undertake a vicious, gruelling trail. You will need to download COD Mobile from the App Store or Google Play. Shock, horror. But yes, DMZ: Recon will be inside COD Mobile, but will have its own shiny gameplay and map. And as you can see in the trailer, we are shown none of it!

Instead, we shall take a look at some other information, including a possibly controversial inclusion. Every player will get two insurance slots, with a maximum of six available by levelling up. This lets you keep the weapons you like across matches. There will also be a Skill Tree system.
Now, an important restriction here is that progression will reset every season. It is this thing that I think will annoy everyone. This is clearly to cater for people who don’t want to have to start from scratch every round, which will annoy purists. But then, burning everything periodically will upset those who have made progress as they have to bid their guns farewell. I think they should just do what they did with Warzones progression instead. I could be wrong, though.
