Everything you need to know about Angry Birds Dream Blast for mobile

Angry Birds Dream Blast is the latest game starring the furious avians to make it to mobile. It's a bit different from what's come before though, so we thought it'd be a good idea to break down exactly what it is, and exactly what it isn't.

That's where this story comes in. We've played the game, we're pretty smart, and we want to share our findings with you, the good readers of AppSpy. What sort of game is it?

It's a bubble popper. You need to match coloured blobs together in order to clear them from the screen. There isn't a grid-based system here though, instead the balls fall down thanks to the game's physics engine.

But it's got the Angry Birds in it, yeah?

Indeed it does. This time around it's got younger versions of the characters that we've all become so familiar with over the last few years. There are pigs as well, but instead of building wobbly structures, here they're the gatekeepers that stop you from moving on until you've made a set amount of matches.

How much does the game cost?

Unsurprisingly this one's free, since that's the way most games do things on mobile nowadays. There are IAP, so if you're worried about your kids spending money when they shouldn't, make sure the parental control settings on your device are up-to-date.

Does the game look good?

One thing Rovio has never lost is the ability to make polished mobile experiences, and this one's no different. Everything works just as you'd hope, and everything looks good enough to eat. If you like eating cartoon images of enraged pigeons and the like.

How does it play?

Really well. The controls are super simple, so there's not that much you're going to have to think about. If anything this one is aiming (if you'll excuse the pun) for an even more casual audience than the one the original Angry Birds managed to snag a few years ago.
