Hands-on with Lion Pig, where the hero is inexplicably a lion and a pig, and why that's okay

Leaving aside the biology of how a pig and a lion might meet, fall in love, and create this curious cross-breed, Lion Pig is a really well made platformer.

Its visuals remind me of Master System classics, the animations of the lead character are excellent, and everything is reminiscent of a straightforward but high quality DOS platformer.
