Fortnite coming to Google Play Store with Chapter 7 Season 2, but it’s not all good news

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is releasing on March 19 and will finally bring the game back to the Google Play Store following a settlement between both parties.

According to trusted leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR, players will be able to complete mobile quests to unlock the free Yeddy outfit.

However, it’s not all positive news, as Epic Games is increasing the price of V-Bucks across all regions to “help pay the bills,” less than a year after calling the reports fake.

While the publisher will lower the cost of the Battle Pass from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks to balance the price changes, this adjustment will come at the cost of bonus V-Bucks rewards.

Talking about new content, the American cartoon series Looney Tunes has collaborated with Fortnite for Chapter 7 Season 2, with Bugs Bunny set to be part of the Battle Pass.

Also, based on the official story trailer, Dark Voyage will return to The Showdown along with the Ice King, with Frigid Fortress expected to be a new POI.

Lastly, The Rock will return as The Foundation in Chapter 7 Season 2, while Combat Assault Rifle and Twin Hammer Shotguns are rumored to be added as new weapons, according to HYPEX.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Downtime

Epic Games will take Fortnite servers offline for a few hours before pushing Chapter 7 Season 2 globally.

Based on the previous maintenance schedules, downtime for the upcoming update should begin at 4 AM ET, with the game likely coming back online around 7 AM ET.

Matchmaking; however, will be disabled approximately 30 minutes before the servers go offline to prevent players from facing any disruption.
