Whilst HoYoverse's gameplay is often, of course, incredibly fun, I would argue another, almost as important, factor to their success is the audio-visual side of things. They look great, and the soundtracks are beautiful. Honkai: Star Rail is no different, and the sci-fi epic has just wrapped up its Star Rail: Live concert.

Having taken place in Shanghai from May 1st to 3rd, it celebrated two years of stunning vistas and sweeping sounds from the space-based epic. It is one thing to experience these things as you play, but throwing a stage show and sticking in an orchestra makes everything better. Luckily for those who missed it, there is another chance to experience the event.

There will be global screens of Star Rail Live 2025 taking place in a variety of cities, and I would urge you to check if there are any near you. Europe definitely got the short end of the stick with only two venues, so definitely book that soon. As well as taking in the show, you can also get your hands on special merchandise.

Moving away from the sensory side of things, let’s hop back a year. HoYo announced that Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] would be coming to Star Rail, and the hallowed hour will soon be upon us. Specifically, the Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail event will launch on July 11th. This is both good news and horrible, because it is ruining the team I spent so long getting!

I maintain Archer is one of the greatest anime characters for two reasons: his swords, Kanshou and Bakuya. Happily, simply logging in will get you the 5-star Archer for free. To pick up the second character, Saber, you will have to engage with the limited Event Warp. They haven’t given too much of the plot away, only that the Holy Grail War will be involved.
