HoYoverse reveals a bump crop of Honkai: Star Rail info with anniversary events and powerful new characters

HoYoverse has released a whole host of announcements for Honkai: Star Rail, including Version 3.2 launching April 9th, and a lot of events kicking off for the game's second anniversary. The Flame-Chase Journey is heating up, with Oronyx falling and the Death Titan Thanatos disappearing. 

For new recruits, Castorice wields the Netherwing and can manifest this dragon during her Ultimate, dealing massive damage to foes and costing it HP. Luckily, Netherwing gains health when allies are attacked, and it can taunt foes to protect its friends. Castorice will also sustain allies who are knocked out in a near-death state, allowing them to be revived if you fulfil specific conditions.

Anaxa is the second hero to hire, being able to randomly apply Weaknessess on enemies when attacking. Upon hitting a certain number of stacks, he will trigger Qualitative Disclosure which puts him in a state causing increased damage and free Skill Attacks. His Ultimate also causes seven Weaknessess on all enemies.

In the first half of 3.2, the 5-star characters Fugue, Jiaoqiu, and Acheron will return, with Dr Ratio coming back in the second half. The developers also revealed that older characters will be receiving tweaks, with Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu getting a glow-up in Version 3.4.

For fans of mini-games, you can take part in Seal Slammers where you will compete against your Chrisos Heir allies in seal-bumping fun. To celebrate Star Rails' second birthday, Trailblazers will get together with old friends to organize a pan-cosmic gala. It sounds like the old Museum mini-game where you help generate funds, hire helpers, and unlock new booths and Assistants.

Finally, some real-life fun. From May 1st to May 3rd the Honkai: Star Rail Concert will be held at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center. Star Rail LIVE 2025 Special Screenings will also take place in multiple cities globally, and regional collaborations and offline events will be held to make this an event to remember.
