Honkai: Star Rail finally releases the Fate/stay night collaboration alongside Version 3.4
It is a good time to be a Honkai: Star Rail fan, as two big launches are imminent. First, version 3.4, dubbed For the Sun is Set to Die, is set to land July 2nd with a host of new story content. Second, the Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] collab is finally debuting.
The story picks up after the Trailblazer and Phainon have returned the final Coreflame to the Vortex of Genesis. Amphoreus begins to recover, but the narrative is not over. The dawn of the Era Nova beckons, and the Trailblazer’s choices could ripple throughout the whole universe.
Phainon debuts as a playable character, and his gameplay revolves around accumulating Coreflames, fittingly. When you reach a certain amount, you can activate his Ultimate, transforming him and creating a Territory. When this happens, all allies leave the field, leaving behind their bonus effects, and allowing Phainon to unleash hell.
On July 11th, the Trailblazer will return to Penacony after receiving a missive from Old Oti, head of the Alfalfa Family. A special entertainment program called Sweet Dreams and Holy Grail War is starting, and you are one of seven invited to summon a Servant and take part. The likes of Aventurine, Mr Boothill, and Miss Robin will also participate, as will Heroic Spirits Saber, Archer and Lancer.

During the collaboration, you can recruit Saber, a 5-star Wind character on the Path of Destruction. Her Ultimate deals Wind damage to all enemies, and enhances her Basic ATK to also target all foes. During combat, she will accumulate Core Resonance, which will grant her an extra turn with a damage buff, as all as refilling her Ultimate energy.
Log in during the collaboration and you will also acquire Archer for free, which is perfect since he is the best one. A 5-Star Quantum Path of the Hunt, he enters the Circuit Connection when you cast his Skill. Pumping in more Skill Points increases the damage. Finally, his Ultimate unleashes his iconic Unlimited Blade Works move against a single foe, and grants him a Special Charge. This can be used to trigger a Follow-up ATK that also restores a Skill Point for the team.
Version 3.4 also brings the option to skip dialogue and the return of the Origami Bird minigame. Tribble, Sunday, and Sparkle will return to summon in the update's first half, followed by Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade. Finally, Silver Wolf, Blade, Kefka, and Jingliu will receive a host of adjustments and enhancements.
Honkai: Star Rail is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
