Honor of Kings' Flow update brings Yango and his puppet to the MOBA

Honor of Kings' Flow update is coming, bringing a new hero and plenty of content. 

China's massive mobile MOBA has been attempting a massive expansion over the past few years. This has been done through in-game localization, regional events, and promotions. The game has recently launched in India and will have a hero inspired by the country very soon.

For now, however, let's see what's coming with Flow. 

Yango abilities in Honor of Kings

The biggest change coming with Flow is the addition of a new hero, Yango. 

Yango experienced terrible trauma as a child that left him mute and afraid to interact with people. He later learned to use his mind to do mechcrafting, creating lifelike puppets that he could speak out of. Sort of like a ventriloquist dummy. 

Yango has the following abilities in his base form: 

• Skill 1: Occult Arts - Umbra
  • Throws the puppet, dealing damage and launching enemies in its path. He then controls the puppet. 
  • Retrieval purifies crowd control effects, granting movement speed and shield; if the puppet is destroyed, Yango is revealed, stunned, and unable to summon for a short time
• Skill 2: Occult Arts - Zhi Chu Luan
  • Tosses paper birds, dealing damage to enemies in their path
• Skill 3: Occult Arts - Shadow Crucifixion 
  • Release several strings that deal damage to hit enemies. Anyone repeatedly hit is slowed down 
• Skill 4: Occult Arts - Dispersal 
  • Vanishes, cleansing all crowd control effects, then reappears in the target location

He also has abilities in puppet form: 

• Skill 1: Occult Arts - Return
  • Puppet is retrieved immediately, dealing damage to enemies along the path, which are also launched
• Skill 2: Occult Arts - Substitution 
  • Swap positions with the puppet, dealing damage to nearby enemies; if movement is restricted, tapping will pull Yango and return the puppet to him 
• Skill 3: Occult Arts - Binding
  • Phase 1: Damages and slows nearby enemies
  • Phase 2: Continuously stuns and damges enemies 
• Skill 4: Occult Arts - Breakout
  • Puppet dashes in selected direction and pulls Yango along, dealing damages to enemies in their path

Super Flow Spriteling.

The Super Flow Spriteling will now grant you one of three brand-new skills.

• Runsie 60s CD：Drink the shrink potion to knock back nearby enemies and gain speed, at the cost of slightly reduced damage.
• Bigly 60s CD：Drink the enlarge potion to grow bigger and gain maximum health, at the cost of slightly reduced speed.
• Coolio 60s CD：Drink the cooldown potion to reduce all skill cooldowns by 1 second (excluding certain special and stored skills), up to three times, at the cost of some current health. 

New and adjusted Heroes.

• New Hero - Yango
  • Available via direct purchase at 588 token vouchers/13888 star stones (first week purchase at 294 token vouchers).
• Adjusted Hero - Nezha 
  • Enabling full-map vision and allows for rapid support across the map.
• Adjusted Hero - Luara
  • Increasing first skill range to the same as basic attack
  • Boosting the Ultimate attack damage
• Adjusted Hero - Fatih 
  • Attack speed adjusted.
  • The ultimate now grants bonus attack power, and empowered basic attacks restore health twice.
  • Improved the fluidity of the slash attack animation. 

Quality of Life.

Based on feedback from the community, this latest update  sees its Play as You Download feature offering an enhanced download status page for clearer progress tracking.

In addition, the overall package size has also been optimised to reduce required storage, with essential content now taking up less space, with optional content automatically downloading only when sufficient storage capacity is available.

Customisation .

Players now can have more control over their experience. From today, 10 official lobby BGM tracks mainly featuring Esports-themed and regional resource theme songs will be available for playing at your wish, alongside new download and loading customisation features that allows players to present themselves freely.

Starting from March 15, submit your Hero skill ideas including skill enhancements, passive effects, or any unique gameplay mechanics that you think will make the battlefield more thrilling. Top 10 potential Hero skill concepts will be opened for a community vote. Top skill with the most votes will be selected and implemented in a future update.
