The King of Fighters AFK gives two of its characters a Halloween makeover for the seasonal update
I feel like if you were a master martial artist with borderline mystical powers like the cast of The King of Fighters AFK, the spookiness of Halloween would lose its lustre. Hard to be scared of werewolves if you know you could literally punch their heads off. Still, Netmarble has launched a seasonal update full of goodies.
Fans of half hair, half man Iori Yagami, and Mature, an already scary individual, can celebrate the arrival of Halloween-style variants for both. Basically, Mature becomes a Kitsune, and Iori finds a big hat. You can collect these from the special Pick-Up Event running until November 5th.
Of course, if you don’t want to pull, then you can simply log in. Thanks to the Spooky Night 2 Check-In event, you will get Halloween-style Mature on the first day, as well as up to 1,000 Halloween Fighter Tokens. You can throw these at the Halloween Fighter Summon to collect some spooky characters. Any that you don’t spend will convert to Fighter Synergy Tokens after the event.

Throughout the Spooky Night Event, you will be able to check off missions in exchange for Pumpkin Cookies. You can use this on the Pumpkin Pass to obtain such rewards as Fighter Cards for Iori and Mature, more Halloween Fighter Tokens, and Suspicious Tickets. These Tickets can then be used to perform event summons to earn further rewards, including the Legendary pet Demonio.
If you fancy a bit of a mental workout, head to the Ghost Shuffle mini-game, which tasks you with sorting descending ghosts by type, in exchange for more Halloween Fighter Tokens and the like. Finally, tackle the Pumkin Parade Event Dungeon to enjoy some festive rumbles. Again, Halloween Fighter Tokens are on offer as daily rewards to reward your pugilistic prowess.
The King of Fighters AFK is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
